Leamington Station Subway Art Engagement

Warwick District Council have been working with artist Stacey Barnfield of The Colour Palette Company, to create a new, community-informed, public artwork in the pedestrian underpass at Leamington Spa Station which will be seen by 1,000’s of people during next year’s Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.  As part of the community engagement, the Heart of England CRP will be working with local artist, Melissa Keskinkilinc to develop a one-off workshop for schools, exploring colours and textures that reflect Leamington Spa, based on the main installation that will be in the Leamington Spa Station pedestrian underpass.  Once the final artwork has been installed, each participating school will receive a booklet of all their designs so they can discover which of their colour suggestions have been included!
